The cylinder head of a diaphragm compressor is mounted on top of the cylinder block, separated by a diaphragm.
Since diaphragm compressors frequently come into contact with corrosive or oxidizing gases, they require corrosion resistance. Cylinder heads are typically manufactured from 3Cr13 or 316L stainless steel. For air compressors, quenched and tempered 40Cr can also be used as a material.
