Before installing the clutch, it must be thoroughly cleaned to remove anti-rust grease and debris.
The clutch can be installed coaxially or on separate shafts, but the axial position must be fixed, and neither the driving nor driven parts are allowed to have axial play. If installed on separate shafts, the coaxiality between the shafts of the driving and driven parts should not exceed 0.1mm.
When a wet electromagnetic clutch is operating, lubricating oil must be added between the friction plates. Lubrication methods can be chosen from: (1) Splash lubrication, (2) Oil bath lubrication, where the immersed part is approximately 5 times the clutch volume, (3) Central shaft oil supply lubrication; the central shaft oil supply method should be used for high-speed and high-frequency operations.
When installing a toothed electromagnetic clutch, a certain clearance must be ensured between the end teeth to prevent tooth wear during idling, but it must not exceed the δ value.
Electromagnetic clutches and brakes have Class B insulation, with a normal temperature rise of 40°C. The operating temperature at extreme thermal equilibrium should not exceed 100°C, otherwise, the coil and friction parts are prone to damage.
The clutch power supply is DC 24V (unless specially ordered), obtained from three-phase or single-phase AC voltage after step-down and full-wave rectification (or bridge rectification), without voltage stabilization or ripple requirements, but the power must be sufficient. Half-wave rectified power supplies are not permitted.
