The advantages of manual transmissions are clear: they have a simple structure, reliable performance, low manufacturing and maintenance costs, high transmission efficiency, and are theoretically more fuel-efficient. Furthermore, being purely mechanically controlled, they offer quick shift response and more directly convey the driver's intentions, thus providing greater driving pleasure.
However, compared to automatic transmissions, manual transmissions are more cumbersome to operate, and noticeable jerks can occur during gear changes, which is an unavoidable drawback.
