About Hyundai

Hyundai is a core enterprise of Hyundai Motor Group, ranking sixth globally in brand sales in 2019 and tenth in the vehicles and components industry in the 2020 Fortune Global 500. The company was founded in 1967 by Chung Ju-yung, the former chairman of Hyundai Group. Its headquarters are in Seoul, South Korea, and the current chairman is Chung Mong-koo (son of Chung Ju-yung). In 2019, Beijing Hyundai, a joint venture established by Hyundai Motor Company and Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co., Ltd., achieved vehicle sales of 700,000 units, ranking twelfth among domestic passenger car manufacturers.
