About Buick

In 1903, David Dunbar Buick founded the Buick Motor Company in Flint, Michigan, USA, and established Buick's first automobile factory. David Buick and his engineers perfected the overhead valve engine design, which was initially used for non-automotive purposes, and introduced powerful, structurally simple automotive overhead valve engines. This invention became one of the most important in automotive history and was fundamental to Buick's early success. In December 1998, Buick's first model after entering China, the 'New Century' sedan, officially rolled off the production line. It took only 23 months from the establishment of the factory to the first car rolling off the line, setting a new speed record in Chinese automotive history and bringing 'world-class brand, world-class experience' to Chinese consumers. In 2008, Buick officially launched its 'Global Platform, European and American Technology' global product strategy and announced its new brand proposition: 'Quiet Mind, Far-reaching Vision, Journey of a Thousand Miles'. Buick targets new-era consumer groups, offering more diverse and personalized product experiences, and has gradually formed a product lineup of premium comfortable models, premium SUV models, and premium coupe models. Currently, it offers several popular models, such as LaCrosse, Regal, Buick GL8, Envision, Verano, Excelle, and Sail.
