About Beijing Off-road

Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd. (BAIC Group), established in 1958 and headquartered in Beijing, is a backbone enterprise in China's automotive industry and a Fortune Global 500 company. BAIC Group has built a complete industrial chain covering vehicle (including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and new energy vehicles) and component R&D and manufacturing, automotive service trade, integrated mobility services, finance, and investment. It has become a large state-owned automotive enterprise group with the most comprehensive product range, the most complete industrial chain, and a leading position in the new energy vehicle market in China. In 1960, the BJ210, the progenitor of Chinese off-road vehicles, was born, breaking China's history of inability to produce off-road vehicles. In 1966, the BJ212 officially went into production and was fully equipped for military use. In 1984, the BJ212 completed parade missions as a lead vehicle and anti-tank combat vehicle. In 2013, the Beijing (BJ)40 was officially launched. In 2015, during the parade commemorating the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Anti-Fascist War, the Beijing (BJ)40 served as an artillery tractor. In 2016, the Beijing (BJ)40L, Beijing (BJ)80, and Beijing (BJ)20 were launched, marking a concerted brand offensive. In 2017, the Beijing (BJ)80 was honored as the review vehicle for the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return and the 90th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army. At the Guangzhou Auto Show, the Beijing (BJ)40 series Diesel Edition, embodying technical excellence, made its debut and was officially launched on January 20, 2018. To date, BAIC's independent brand has established a complete value chain system, achieving a breakthrough of one million units in sales, laying a solid foundation for its development. As an outstanding representative of BAIC's independent brands, the Beijing (BJ) off-road vehicle series has enjoyed a long-standing reputation and has become the 'killer app' for BAIC Group's independent brands. In 2018, the Beijing (BJ)20, Beijing (BJ)40, and Beijing (BJ)80 three major series were launched simultaneously, meeting the needs of different consumers and forming the latest and strongest product matrix for the Beijing (BJ) brand.
